With over 20 years of experience, I am a seasoned mixing engineer and record producer who thrives on crafting exceptional soundscapes that elevate music to its highest potential. Working from my hybrid analog studio setup, I blend the warmth of analog equipment with the precision of digital tools to deliver mixes that are both sonically rich and technically flawless.

As a member of the influential UK Funky/Bass trio Funkystepz, I made my mark in the underground music scene, hosting our own show on the iconic Rinse FM and helping to shape the genre's evolution. Our journey saw us performing headline DJ sets at some of the most celebrated venues and festivals, including Bestival, Fabric, Egg, and Studio 338.

As of 2014 my career progressed into a solo effort as Ren Phillips/RENZO. and has been defined by collaborations with major labels and leading imprints, with releases on Sony, Big Beat, Universal, Sola, Cr2, Toolroom, Elrow, Deeperfect, La Pera and many more. This breadth of experience across genres and styles informs my approach to production and mixing, ensuring every project receives a unique, bespoke touch that resonates with audiences worldwide.
